Opportunity description

Would you like to work in a service that has been rated OUTSTANDING in their care provision?

Dean Healthcare is the leading Health and Social Care Agency in the South West and would like to invite you to be a part of our ever-growing success!

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated support workers to join our team at a busy home in Yate catering for 7 male residents requiring either 1:1 or 2:1 support.

Our service users have learning disabilities as well as autism, epilepsy and two also have ‘fragile X’. All service users present challenging behaviour, both physical and verbal, as such we require staff with similar experience who have a pro-active, calming approach.

As a support worker here, you will assist our service users with personal care and day to day house duties, as well as promoting their independence and individual interests, including activities such as cycling, tennis and days out in Weston or Bristol. We require a person-centred and consistent approach to care, as the main objective of this home is to move our service users on to less intensive supported housing.
