Dean Healthcare is currently recruiting for support workers on behalf of an organisation based in Evesham, supporting young adults with learning difficulties.
The client supports individuals with Autism, schizophrenia, dyspraxia, cerebral palsy and high levels of challenging behaviour. The role will be supporting individuals on a 1-1 basis in the residential environment as well as part of a group. To provide support to individuals in order to enable them to achieve as much independence and autonomy as possible and participate in a wide range of experiences of their choosing.
We are looking for candidates, with at least 9 months paid work experience, who can work up to 37 hours per week on a temporary-permanent basis. You will be expected to work for the client on a temporary contract for 12 weeks, and will then be asked to work permanently for the candidate should you be successful.
The right candidate will be able to support the service users with staying safe, providing emotional support, participating in activities, helping the individuals to achieve their own personal outcomes and supporting them with their day-to-day activities. The candidate will be able to use their own initiative and creativity, whilst promoting independence and helping to make a positive impact on the service user’s development. The candidate will also need to be confident, flexible and present an innovative approach to their work
The 37 hours per week will be made up of shift work, including days, nights and weekend work.
