Children's Residential Support Worker

Your role

£22,489-£22,913 DOE

40 hours per week, weekends and weekdays required, *no nights*

I’m looking for a L3 (or equivalent) Children’s support worker who understands how to build strong and appropriate relationships and can be resilient and positive in encouraging the children and young people to achieve their goals.

The role:

  • Supporting children and young people to reach their goals
  • Creating a homely and nurturing environment
  • Enabling engagement in the community
  • Helping the children to develop real life skills and emotional wellbeing
  • Assisting with personal care where needed
  • Encouraging and supporting the development of communication and positive behaviour skills

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) or above preferred- Willing to undertake if required
  • Able to form appropriate relationships and personal boundaries
  • Due to the demanding nature of the role, you will be resilient to challenging behaviours
  • A positive attitude towards authority and self-reflection
  • This role is physically and emotionally demanding requiring strength and resilience
  • Happy to support others with their cultural backgrounds and beliefs
  • Capable of promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young adults
