Day Support Workers
Support workers needed for shifts 9.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday for Day Centres around Bristol
Your role
Dean Healthcare are looking for experienced, committed Day Support Workers to help support service users at several day centres located around Bristol (Knowle and Horfield). You will be supporting service users who have Learning disabilities including autism and may present challenging behaviour.
These day centres provide community outreach services across Bristol and part of south Gloucestershire. From which service users can meet and access a wide range of community based social, leisure and learning opportunities. Activities include; Horse riding, swimming, cinema trips, gym, cooking, independent living skills, pub lunch and disco.
The shifts are from 9.30 to 4.30 Monday to Friday.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months experience within the health and social care sector
- An imaginative and innovative approach to care
- Experience with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour
