I am excited to be recruiting for a permanent, full-time (39 hours) Deputy Manager, for a service in Carterton, Oxfordshire. You will be joining one of the largest British charities who provide care, accommodation and support services for older people. You will receive an excellent annual salary of £39,312, and will be working in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art 68-bed residential care and dementia home. 

Main role and responsibilities: 

  • Reporting to the Home Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality service and developing the large staff team
  • Deputise in the absence of Home Manager; overseeing and responsible for the operational day-to-day running of the residential home
  • To lead, support, supervise, manage and work as part of a large team of staff to ensure the provision of residential and dementia care of the highest standard 
  • To contribute to the strategic development of the home

What you need: 

  • Experience working within health and social care sector is essential 
  • Experience leading a team - this is a perfect role for an experienced care team supervisor
  • S/NVQ/QCF Diploma level 3 or equivalent, or higher
  • Must be a patient, empathetic and flexible individual
