Children's Residential Support Workers

Your role
Dean Healthcare are working with a fantastic organisation to find the right people for a 6 bed children’s home in Colchester. With a range of benefits, including support for you, this role would see you play an instrumental role in helping the children and young people to live happy, safe lives, integrate into their communities and achieve in education.
Your new role:
- Day to day tasks, such as supporting with getting up and going to school
- Healthy meals and habits
- Assisting with personal care if required
- Enabling therapeutic practices and reflection
- Building a positive relationship, and meeting needs of each individual child
- Creating routines, opportunities and setting boundaries and expectations for the young people
- Ensuring health and safety, and being confident with safeguarding practices
Requirements
- Patient, consistent and clear with boundaries and expectations
- Experienced in working with children and young people/similar setting
- Training/Qualifications in residential childcare (preferred)
- Willing to learn and develop your skills
- Experience with, or willing to learn about behaviour that can challenge
- Committed and determined
- Strong understanding of safeguarding
- Driving license
