Children’s Home Registered Manager, Central Gloucester
Full time, £55,000+ Per Annum
I am looking for a passionate and capable OFSTED Registered Manager, for a fantastic children's service. The candidate should be motivated and dedicated to developing this “Good” service into “Outstanding”. Working as a Registered Manager you must be willing to go above and beyond for the needs of the young people and your team.
About the role:
- Working alongside three other Registered Manager peers, this full time role (40 hours per week) will be based in the office but expected to visit homes regularly.
- Providing ‘on call’.
- You’ll be managing a staff team of 25 which will grow next year and you will be supported by a deputy manager along with senior support workers.
- Meeting the care and support needs of the children resident
- Planning for the children and promoting independence and healthy choices
Requirements
- You will either need to have already completed, or be willing to complete, the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
- If you aren’t already registered with Ofsted, you will need to be confident to go through this process.
- 2 Years residential childcare experience + 5 years overall experience in similar role
- Good standard of general education- Level 5 preferred, plus GCSE/equivalents in English and Maths
- Understanding and experience of supporting children with Learning Disabilities and Mental health needs
- Excellent understanding of Safeguarding
