Support Worker

We are currently recruiting Support Workers within Gloucester to work with Children on a temp to perm or perm!

Your role

Our client is passionate in supporting children and young adults making a positive change within their lives and helping them achieve their goals.

Duties include –

- To carry out daily duties as directed by the Home Manager

- Undertake responsibility for individual young people in the house focusing on the specific needs identified in the care plan and reports, implementing and monitoring progress within the required timescales

- To work well as a team and individually

- To carry out daily domestic duties such as cleaning, washing and ironing etc

- Assist the clients to appointments and meetings

- Ensure the safety of the clients whilst adhering to the policies

- Contribute towards the quality of care, welfare, education and development of the children and young adults

Requirements

What we need from you –

- Experience with young adults and children

- To hold QCF level 3 Health and Social care

- To be able to engage appropriately with children and young adults

- Ability to understand and work effectively with complex cases

- Hold a current full manual driving licence and prepared to drive as part of the work

- Commitment to personally undertake further training and development

- Able to meet the requirement of the shift pattern

- A genuine interest in working with children, young people and adults
